Mr. Jeffrey Ho, FSIP

Senior Director, SurbanaJurong Consultants
Adjunct Associate Professor, National University of Singapore

With over 30 years of management and professional experiences in architecture, urban planning and urban design, Jeffrey Ho is currently the Senior Director of SurbanaJurong Planning Group (SJPG), a multi-disciplinary and cultural consultancy in Singapore. Throughout his career, he has led multi-disciplinary teams to oversee numerous international urban planning and design projects of varying scales and complexities.  To date, he has completed projects in more than 30 countries across the world – many of which are award winning. He is a registered Architect in Singapore, a member of the Singapore Institute of Architects, and a Council Member and Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Planners. Jeffrey’s urban planning and design philosophy is largely influenced by his architectural background, which branded his planning approach as a ‘fusion of art and geometry’.  His brand is notably recognizable in some of his recent masterplans in the Middle East, China and Africa. One that is worth commending is the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco City - the largest ever to be developed in China; and the recently completed Amaravati Capital City Masterplan of Andhra Pradesh in India. He holds a B. Architecture (University of Singapore), M. Architecture (University of Pennsylvania) and M. City Planning (University of Pennsylvania). His other professional involvements include the following: as an expert panel member in government agencies, university and polytechnics; an external examiner in National University of Singapore (NUS) Masters Program in urban design; an architect mentor to NUS architecture students; and a city planning advisor to the City of Jinjiang in Fujian Province, China. Throughout his career, Jeffrey has been passionately pursuing and crafting his skills in the area of urban planning and design. In 2009, he received two PUSH Awards by the Design Singapore Council for his relentless effort to ‘push’ design excellence to achieve new heights and frontiers beyond Singapore’s boundaries.
