Awarded JTC scholarship to study planning in UK and upon her return from Oxford Brookes in 1975, Seetoh worked in Jurong Town Corporation (JTC) for 15 years. She rose from the ranks of planner to Principal planner before joining URA in 1989 and then moved to Jurong Consultants Pte Ltd for the next 20 years. She has a huge portfolio of completed and implemented master planning projects in Singapore and across Asia, India, Africa and Middle East and is widely recognised as an industrial and township planning specialist. Her key contributions include master planning of prominent projects in Singapore which include at least 15 industrial estates such as Jurong Industrial Estate (7,000 ha) and the Singapore Science Park. Her overseas experience includes completing various prestigious master-planning projects in China (eg. Singapore-Suzhou industrial township), India (eg. DMIC Corridor), Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Seetoh is the Past President of the Singapore Institute of Planners and the current Chairman of the Singapore Professional Centre.
